Mubaloo’s innovative app services enlisted by facilities management giant Mitie

Enterprise mobility consultancy Mubaloo was named in the Everline Future 50 2015, recognised for its work with the the likes of Hargreaves Lansdown, Samsung and London’s Air Ambulance.

Facilities management firm Mitie, which boasts revenues of £2bn, is one of the tech company’s newer clients. It drafted Mubaloo in to develop a mobile app that would enhance its existing Miworld programme, which is used for day-to-day service management.

Mark Hazelwood, operations director, Miworld, Integrated Facilities Management, said: “We are committed to delivering innovative ideas and technology that goes beyond the day-to-day FM service.

Data is a key area where real value can be driven and at Mitie we want to continue to lead this agenda, ensuring that the information we capture really enhances the service to our customers and improves their place of work.”

The result of working with Mubaloo was a Miworld app for iPad, which is customised for each facilities manager. The development revolves around the property division of the outsourcing company and allows users to receive information and alerts specific to the locations they look after.mitie

Details are viewable via a dashboard, as well as through notifications and messaging to create both collaboration and independence.

Hazelwood added: “We approached Mubaloo to develop a first-to-market iOS application to complement our existing product suite. The application needed to be both intuitive and feature-rich in order to achieve the desired result. We are extremely pleased with the results so far and the app is already making a huge impact with both our existing and prospective clients.”

Sarah Weller, joint MD, Mubaloo, said: “Mitie is a company that understands the need to innovate and create tools that its employees can use to deliver a better service to its corporate clients.

By investing in a mobile application, Mitie is advancing its market leadership and ensuring it is able to continually raise the standard in property and facilities management.”
