Mobile ordering service Q App achieves exit through Yoyo Wallet takeover

Yoyo Wallet, the mobile wallet service spun out of Imperial College, has acquired mobile ordering platform Q App. It acted as a queue-buster for frustrated customers to buy food and drinks via smartphone when at venues and only entered the market in 2012.

In its short operational period, Q App delivered services to small cafes, pubs and restaurants, but also secured big name clients as users, including Ministry of Sound, Royal Albert Hall and Liverpool FC.

The company, which was named in the Everline Future 50 in March 2015, will be integrated into the Yoyo Wallet platform under the “Jump” feature.
