Digital University Proversity raises $1.5m in venture capital

Digital university and future 50 alumni Proversity has completed a $1.5m round of investment from venture capital firm RSBC.

Founded in 2013 by Carl Dawson and Krishan Meetoo, Proversity aims to plug the skills gap by offering open education programmes delivered directly by employers and educators.

Proversity has worked on projects for a broad range of clients including the Bank of England, the British Army, Lloyds Bank and Family Mosaic, allowing professionals to learn new skills and develop their careers.

The investment will enable the company to grow its software engineering and content production with a new facility in Cape Town, adding to its global network of operations in London, Santiago and Boston.
